Directions | Verulamium Park is accessible by car and bus, St.Albans railway station is approximately a 20-30 minute walk and taxis and buses are available from the station. |
Parking | Limited free parking will be available at Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre. Free parking will also be available at St Columbus College and the King Harry Lane Field. Maps to alternative parking will be supplied on arrival if parking capacity is full. |

Fun Runs | |
1.5 Mile Children's Fun Run | This fun run is for U12s. The run starts and finishes within the grounds of the park, looping around the lake. Parents/carers are welcome to enter with their children, but a race number must be worn. All U7s must be accompanied by a paying adult. The route is manned by marshals. |
5k Healthy Hearts Jog | The half marathon has teamed up with the British Heart Foundation to host a recreational jog to cater for all levels of runners. The course is made up of 1K laps within the grounds of the park. Participants can choose to run between 1K and 5K. No prizes, recreational only. The event replaces the previous 5K event and is a trial event for 2008. |

Charity and Sponsorship | The British Heart Foundation is the nation's heart charity and the biggest funder of heart and circulatory research in the UK. We are thrilled to be involved in this years half marathon and hope that, whatever your age or ability, you'll find a route to suit you. - £100.00 – The BHF invests £100 every minute on vital heart research
- £120.00 – Would fund the use of an echocardiography machine for one ultrasound scan
- £1500 – The average cost of a defibrillator, used to restart the heart.
