I walk home from from work (which is 7kms) two or three times a week and do yoga once a week with my daughter. This site has been great, by the way, for keeping me motivated. |

I take a ballet class once per week, but I am still severely over weight. What can I do to motivate myself to work out more. I have tried to work out about 3-4 times per week, but I only gain more weight. ξEFFREY. |

I go to the gym 5x or 6x a week. Mix it up with weights and cardio. I really respond to HIIT so I might go and try CrossFit again. Anyone out there tried CrossFit? I'm very out of shape right now (but not as out of shape as I was a month ago!), so a bit nervous about hitting a CrossFit box. And when summer arrives I will get my shell out and start rowing again. Owww.. I miss that. |

I have just recently started again on the fitness trip and right now aim at weight training in the gym once a week and additionally either 1000 meters swimming or a second trip to the gym with cardio. |

I lift as heavy as I can at least three, usually four times a week. By as heavy as I can I mean as soon as I can do 3 sets, 10 reps on an exercise, I increase the weight. I also do 15 minutes of cardio immediately following the lifting as a cool down essentially. I used to run a lot but blew up a knee and can't run the distances I used to. Although I intend to take a break from weightlifting in six weeks to focus on cardio for an 8 week stretch to try and reduce my bodyfat percentage during that time. |

I know that pain, Im limited to nonimpact cardio and thats after years of running 8+mi a day. :(
My workout is 3-4days a week at the gym varies between cardio, endurance lifting and power lifting. I also do heavy landscaping at home and trust me anyone who has done major landscaping knows that is strenuous. 75lb bags of seed, mulch fertilizer along with digging up and transplanting trees even chopping down and splitting wood. Some days Im more sore from working in my yard rather then a full gym workout.

I am working out in gym one day a week and try go trailruninng on the weekends? What are you doing out there to stay and get fit? Trail running sounds like a dream :) Right now I am concentrating on race walking to get my pulse up and at the same try not to injure my knees again. |

i pretty much train every day. In the athletics season i have 3 track sessions, 2 fast road runs, 1 long run and a pool and gym sesion each week. Plus a few easy runs when i feel like it or if i need a rest from the faster stuff. |

Well, it's been working. I've dropped 12lbs according to the scale. More importantly, I've lost nearly five inches on my waist. According the the US Navy's body fat percentage algorithm, I've gone from 36% to 26% body fat since late March when I started. The change is pretty obvious to the naked eye finally. I've still got a ways to go to reach my goal but I'm well on the way. |

Run 6 day's a week. Average 40 miles a week. Weight training 6 day's a week. Upper body one day, then lower body the next. 52 years young and feel GREAT!!! |

I take long walks in the morning before breakfast everyday (usually about 1,5-2 hours) and then I crosstrain for about 2-3 miles everyday. I never used to train before I started trying to lose weight last year so I think I've come pretty far from not training at all to training twice everyday. Of course I've combined the training with eating healthier too (which was pretty easy too since we found several GI-cookbooks and loved them). |

At present, to keep fit I run 4-5 times a week (5km each session) and pilates type exercises 3 times a week. These activities may be with a band, ball, dumbells, or with my own body weight. I find them highly affective for my needs. Before this I was going to the gym 5 days a week but it shut down - now I have a treadmill and bike at home. |

Hi all. it"s nice to see so many people making an effort to keep healthy. I train for approx an hour daily five days a week. Used to do a lot of road running. Took time off for the past three years started training again since May this year, mostly in the gym. |

I'm just trying to get back into regular exercise,so walking,cycling,home weights and ball..achieved 55 mins today so that was great
